PREVIEWS
JD Cymru North
Friday night’s action sees Bangor City 1876 aim to maintain their unbeaten record against Flint Mountain when Michael Johnston’s side visit the Essity Stadium.
Bangor have won all four previous meetings with Aden Shannon’s men, including a 4-1 success at Nantporth in September.
In 2022-23, 1876 did the double over Mountain in Ardal North West, 5-0 at home and 3-2 away, and in 2021-22 triumphed 5-2 in an FAW Amateur Trophy tie.
However, at present Mountain lie sixth in the Cymru North, with 1876 a place and a point behind.
Flint have won five of their last eight league matches, while Bangor have not managed a victory in their last four CN starts, so could there be a turning of the tide at the Essity?
We predict a draw.
Bottom side Prestatyn Town will have a number of new signings available for the first time when they host Ruthin Town on Friday.
Recent captures Alex Jones, James Jones, Tom Cain, Nathan Lavender, Macauley Taylor, Sam Ashton, Casey Faulkner and Rob Hughes all come into contention for the Seasiders, who have lost 11 league games on the bounce.
With new faces on board, plus the fact Ruthin have not won in seven league games, this could be Prestatyn’s night at Bastion Gardens.
Onto Saturday, and Airbus should stretch their lead at the summit to seven points and make it 10 league victories in a row when they entertain Penrhyncoch.
Fourth-place Buckley Town can edge their derby clash with Mold Alexandra in fifth, Caersws will have new signing Tommy Rowlands, a prolific marksman in tier 3, in their ranks for a home tussle with a Denbigh Town side which has won just one of their last seven in the CN., and Llandudno should just have enough to claim the spoils at home to Guilsfield, who nonetheless are undefeated in five under new manager Gavin Allen.
Llay Welfare are showing plenty of fight in their relegation battle and look a good shout for at least a draw versus a Gresford Athletic side on a three-match winning streak.

Unbeaten in their last six league matches, Brickfield Rangers can deliver a blow to Bow Street’s title hopes by beating the leaders at Clwyedog Park.
Bricky are definitely live title contenders, although their last two games have ended in disappointing draws against teams well below them in the table.
Bow Street have not won in three and their top berth is under considerable threat. A win will ease the tension, but we take Rangers to edge it.
Builth Wells have suffered the loss of 17-goal top marksman Tommy Rowlands to Caersws this week and visitors Llanuwchllyn could well capitalise, especially with their own 17-goal star Meilir Williams in the mix, when they visit Lant Fields.
Basement side Chirk AA can continue their recent improvement at home to Llansantffraid, but will be wary of the fact the Saints have won their last two and are starting to get their act together as well.
Depending on results elsewhere, Dolgellau could end the day at the peak if they defeat tricky visitors Cefn Albion, who are coming off a handy 3-0 beating of Llandrindod.
Wells can bounce back from that setback at Cefn with a win at Llanidloes, Penycae have the tools to see off Llanfair United and Radnor Valley can overcome the hurdle of the inconsistent Rhos Aelwyd.

Rhyl 1879 will be strong favourites to maintain their unbeaten record under Paul Moore when they host a struggling Conwy Borough side who have lost nine in succession.
Leaders on goal difference Porthmadog have found the going tough on their travels lately and face a really difficult hurdle at Llanrwst United, who can take a point at the very least.
Pwllheli’s form has been unpredictable, but they earned a fine draw at Holyhead last weekend and before that defeated leaders Porthmadog.
Suspensions could affect Pwll’s chances at Connah’s Quay Town, but we veer towards an away win.
Llangefni Town can bounce back from their recent surprise home defeat to basement boys Menai Bridge Tigers when they welcome St Asaph City to Cae Bob Parry.
Both Llannefydd and Felinheli are in great form, so something has to give at Cae Llan. With home advantage, the hosts should take the points.
After two cracking wins, but then a demoralising 7-2 home loss to Felinheli last weekend, it is hard to know what to expect from Menai Bridge Tigers in their Anglesey derby with Holyhead Hotspur. Away victory looks the safest call.
Corwen can squeeze past an erratic Nantlle Vale at Maes Dulyn, while a good contest is in prospect on Anglesey where Trearddur Bay entertain the impressive NFA.
On best form, Bay can chalk up a narrow victory, although Rhyl-based NFA may feel they turned a corner with last Saturday’s win over Connah’s Quay Town, having struggled to get a W for a while before that.
