PREVIEWS

CYMRU NORTH

Top pair Airbus UK Broughton and Colwyn Bay will need to perform well to maintain their respective long-running unbeaten records on Friday.

Leaders Airbus visit Bangor 1876, where getting a result is never easy, while Colwyn Bay host fellow high-flyers and renowned battlers Buckley Town.

Nonetheless, the Wingmakers and the Seagulls are showing no signs of flagging and should both pick up three hard-earned points.

Also on Friday evening, Gresford Athletic are more than capable of making it four straight wins when they host Flint Mountain, who were 1-0 winners over the Colliers early in the season.

Ruthin Town will aim to end a run of seven league games without victory when Mold Alexandra visit the Memorial Playing Fields. An away success looks a decent shout.

Onto Saturday, Holywell Town will fancy their chances of extending their undefeated streak to nine league games – seven wins in their last eight – when they visit Caersws, who have been defeated four times in a row in league and cup.

Denbigh Town will be out to avenge a 4-3 loss at Guilsfield back in November when they take on the Powys travellers at Central Park. Not in the best of form, this could be the one where Town turn the tide, although Guuls have lost just one of their last six.

Llay Welfare continue to scrap hard for points at the wrong end of the table and might cause an upset at home to Llandudno, although the buoyant Seasiders, one defeat in six, should have the edge.

Bottom side Prestatyn Town will have a much strengthened team containing a number of January window signings at Penrhyncoch, but Cae Baker is a tough place to go.

SCORECASTS

Bangor 1876 1  Airbus UK 2
Colwyn Bay 2 Buckley Town 1
Gresford Athletic 1 Flint Mountain 0
Ruthin Town 1 Mold Alexandra 3

Caersws 0 Holywell Town 2

ARDAL NORTH EAST

Dolgellau AA can regain top spot with a home win over Llandrindod, but whoever knows what the Spamen may produce!

Fifth-place Kerry – no wins in three – host third-place Builth Wells – no losses in three. Away win.

Neither Llanfair United or Llangollen Town are setting the world alight of late and their latest meeting on Saturday has the potential for a draw.

Chirk AAA have shown plenty of resilience of late and this might serve them well at Rhos Aelwyd.

SCORECASTS

Dolgellau Athletic 1 Llandrindod Wells 1
Kerry 1 Builth Wells 3
Llanfair United 1 Llangollen Town 1
CPD Rhos Aelwyd 2 Chirk AAA 2

ARDAL NORTH WEST

Leading duo Porthmadog and CPD Y Rhyl 1879 both have very tricky Saturday tests.

Port visit Holyhead Hotspur, now in fourth spot and shaping well for a title push, while Rhyl are away to CPD Pwllheli, who can beat the best on any given day.

Rhyl are still unbeaten under Paul Moore and on a high, but Pwll have seen off Porthmadog and drawn at Holyhead in recent weeks.

Hotspur will be reeling after the loss ot consistent goal-getter Dylan Summers-Jones to Bangor 1876 this week.

Conwy Borough badly need a result at home to Nantlle Vale, who have lost four in a row compared to Boro’s eight consecutive defeats. Vale can edge it.

After a couple of great wins, bottom side Menai Bridge Tigers have lost their last two games heavily and might find hosts Corwen too demanding.

Llannefydd are on a four-match winning sequence and can definitely get the better of a St Asaph City side which nonetheless beat them 1-0 at Roe Plas Meadows in July.

NFA and Llangefni Town are maintaining high placings despite mixed form. NFA, down to seventh, are very strong at home and should eke out a narrow win over Cefni.

SCORECASTS

Conwy Borough 0 CPD Nantlle Vale 2
Corwen 3 Menai Bridge Tigers 0
Holyhead Hotspur 2 Porthmadog 1
CPD Llannefydd 3 St Asaph City 1
NFA FC 2 Llangefni Town 1
CPD Pwllheli 2 CPD Rhyl 1879 3
