The Corinthian Spirit is Alive: Ffos Las Preview

dragon bet horse racing

The Corinthian spirit is alive and well and can be seen in the flesh at the Foxhunter’s Chase on Thursday afternoon in the last race of the day at Ffos Las.

Among the amateur jockeys, James King will fancy his chances as Envoye Special chases a hat-trick of wins.

Trained by Keiran Burke, Envoye Special won at Cheltenham in April of last year and at Peper Harow in May.

Competition is likely to come from Candy Burg, a winner at Ffos Las two years ago, and Acey Milan.

Welsh trainer Evan Williams has four runners at the meeting, including Imperial Measure in the Novices’ Handicap Hurdle.

Ridden by Williams’ daughter Isabel, Imperial measure pulled up at Ffos Las last month and finished fifth in a Novices’ Hurdle as a 100/1 shot at Exeter on New Year’s Day.

Welsh trainer Tim Vaughan will be hoping Bobmahley finds his rhythm in the Handicap Chase to win again at Ffos Las, following his victory on the course last time out last month.

Welsh jockey Alan Johns – sponsored by DragonBet – will again be in the saddle, having won twice at Taunton earlier this week.

How’s the Cricket – in the Novices’ Handicap Chase – is another previous course winner, having won at Ffos Las back last October.

Ah Whisht, trained by Tom Symonds, is making his rules debut and is unbeaten after winning in Ireland on a maiden run back in November.
