PREVIEWS

CYMRU NORTH

The weekend kicks off on Friday evening with what should be a tight contest at Bangor City Stadium where 1876 take on Denbigh Town.

Bangor can bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing defeat at Penrhyncoch with a narrow victory.

Caersws won a high-scoring thriller against Guilsfield last time out and should have just enough to edge past Buckley at the Recreation Ground on Saturday.

Colwyn Bay are really motoring now and can make it seven league wins in a row when they visit Guilsfield.

Holywell Town can expect a tough test when they host Flint Mountain in a local derby, but the Wellmen should claim maximum points with home advantage.

In a clash between two of the bottom three, Llandudno can give themselves a tonic with a home triumph over Llay Welfare, while the excellent Mold Alexandra can push Airbus all the way at Alyn Park, but we back the leaders to record a narrow win.

Penrhyncoch’s recent resurgence can continue at home to Ruthin, while managerless bottom side Prestatyn will be out for revenge against a Gresford side which whipped them 9-0 in the Welsh Cup next month.

SCORECASTS

Bangor 1876 2 Denbigh Town 1

Caersws 3 Buckley Town 2
Guilsfield 1 Colwyn Bay 3
Holywell Town 2 Flint Mountain 0
Llandudno 4 Llay Welfare 1
Mold Alexandra 1 Airbus UK 2
Penrhyncoch 2 Ruthin Town 1
Prestatyn Town 1 Gresford Athletic 3

ARDAL NORTH EAST

After suffering their first league defeat of the season last time out, Brickfield Rangers can return to winning ways at home to Llanidloes Town.

Chirk AAA will battle as always, but might find Llanuwchllyn too strong at Holyhead Road, while the unpredictable Kerry might have to settle for a draw with Cefn Albion.

Boosted by a great win over Penycae last weekend, expect Llandrindod Wells to collect another three points at home to Dolgellau.

A draw looks the best call in a tussle of high-flyers when Llanfair United entertain Penycae, the on-fire Llangollen should see off Builth Wells, Rhos Aelwyd can rediscover winning form at Llansantffraid and leaders Bow Street can come out on top at Radnor Valley.

SCORECASTS

Brickfield Rangers 3 Llanidloes Town 0
Chirk AAA 1 Llanuwchllyn 3
Kerry 2 Cefn Albion 2
Llandrindod Wells 3 Dolgellau Athletic 2
Llanfair United 2 Penycae 2
Llangollen Town 3 Builth Wells 1
Llansantffraid 1 Rhos Aelwyd 3
Radnor Valley 1 Bow Street 4

ARDAL NORTH WEST

Porthmadog have a big chance of maintaining their unbeaten record and staying top of the table when they visit third-from-bottom Conwy Borough.

After losing at NFA last Saturday, Llangefni Town could well return pointless from their tricky trip to Llannefydd.

Llanrwst United are performing well and can overcome the challenge of visitors St Asaph, who nonetheless will be boosted by their first win in seven over Llangefni last weekend.

Corwen can leave Menai Bridge still seeking their first point, while Holyhead Hotspur are more than capable of ending NFA’s highly impressive 100 percent home record.

Pwllheli are a decent shout to hand Connah’s Quay Town just a second loss of the campaign, CPD Y Felinheli, who have scooped seven points out of a possible last nine, can add three more by beating one-from-bottom Nantlle Vale at Cae Seilo, while the match of the day sees Trearddur Bay home to CPD Y Rhyl 1879.

Third-place Rhyl have been good on their travels, while Trearddur have adjusted well to life in tier 3 so far. We predict a share of the points.

SCORECASTS

Conwy Borough 0 Porthmadog 3
cpd Llannefydd 2 Llangefni Town 1
Llanrwst United 2 St Asaph City 0
Menai Bridge 1 Corwen 2
NFA  1 Holyhead Hotspur 1
Pwllheli 2 Connah’s Quay Town 1
Trearddur Bay 1 CPD Y Rhyl 1879 1

Y Felinheli 2 Nantlle Vale 1
