PREVIEWS

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST

Rhos Aelwyd will be desperate to reverse early season poor form when they visit tier 3 new boys Kerry on Saturday.

Third from bottom Aelwyd have lost their last five and been beaten in six of their seven league games so far.

Kerry are in eighth spot with a decent record of won four, lost three to date.

One has to lean towards a home win.

Llanfair United travel to Dolgellau on the back ot successive league wins which include a very commendable 1-0 success at Llangollen Town last weekend.

Dolgellau have not quite hit the heights they are capable of as yet, but with home advantage they should possess enough quality to see off the Powys men.

Leaders Bow Street have to be favourites at home to a Llanidloes Town outfit which lost 3-2 at Chirk AAA last weekend – that was the Colliers’ first win of the campaign at the seventh attempt.

Improving Penycae rose to third last Saturday with a superb 3-1 home triumph against Builth Wells.

Expect the Wrexham side to do just as well when they welcome visitors Llandrindod Wells on Saturday.

With that elusive first win under the belts, can Chirk AAA repeat the dose when Radnor Valley travel to Holyhead Road on Sunday?

Radnor produced a fine display in becoming the first team to take a point off Brickfield Rangers last weekend and look a good bet for a draw at least versus the AAA’s.

SCORECASTS

Bow Street 4 Llanidloes Town 0

Chirk AAA 2 Radnor Valley 2

Dolgellau AA 3 Llanfair United 1

Kerry 3 CPD Rhos Aelwyd 1

Penycae 3 Llandrindod Wells 0

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST

With the majority of Ardal North West teams involved in the Welsh Cup this weekend, just two league matches are scheduled.

Conwy Borough enjoyed a morale boosting 2-1 home success over St Asaph City last weekend and might just have the edge again when Pwllheli visit Y Morfa. Instincts edge towards a draw, though, between two mid-table sides on identical points.

Two teams in the bottom three meet at Maes Dulyn, where Nantlle Vale host CPD Y Felinheli.

Nantlle have lost all three league matches at home to date, while Felin have been beaten in their last three ANW fixtures, so neither side has any encouraging form to speak of.

This fixture will revive fond memories for Felinheli as they defeated Vale in the final game of last season to preserve their tier 3 status.

Saturday’s tussle has all the makings of a close one and with both desperate for points it might just end up all-square.

SCORECASTS

Conwy Borough 2 CPD Pwllheli 2

Nantlle Vale 1 CPD Y Felinheli 1
