The Cymru Premier South is only into its fourth round of games, but Briton Ferry Llansawel’s trip to Abertillery Bluebirds already has a feel of top visiting bottom.
Briton Ferry have started like a train – winning three from three and with a goal difference of +10.
For the new boys of Abertillery, it’s proving a tough baptism so far. Promoted in the summer, they have lost all three games, although they did give Ammanford a scare before going down, 3-2.
The Reds, though, look in good nick and they have set a pace of maximum points that only Afan Lido and Ammanford can live with so far.

Ammanford were one of only two sides to defeat champions Barry Town United in the league last term, and Gruff Harrison’s troops will be confident they can repeat last week’s win on the road at Caerau Ely.
Baglan Dragons are a rising force in Welsh domestic football and they have shown why they earned back-to-back promotions by starting this campaign at a higher level with three unbeaten matches that have yielded seven points to put them fifth in the early season table.
The Dragons are at Abergavenny Town, who, like Abertillery are propping up the rest after three defeats.
Caerau Ely host Cambrian and Clydach, while the other Friday night games see Llanelli welcome Carmarthen, both with two wins out of three, and Taffs Well at home to Goytre United.
On Saturday, aside from Abertillery v Briton Ferry, Cwmbran Celtic host Llantwit Major while Trefelin BGC are at home to Pontardawe Town.
Cwmbran, Llantwit and Trefelin all have one win on the board so far, while Pontardawe are yet to pick up a point after two matches.
