PREVIEWS

JD CYMRU NORTH

Can Colwyn Bay make it 16 straight league wins and close the gap on leaders Airbus to a point when they visit Flint Mountain on Friday night?

Bay only just edged a 2-1 victory back in November over a Mountain outfit which won 7-0 at Gresford last time out.

Aden Shannon’s side are certainly capable of putting a spanner in the works, but such is the Seagulls’ form of recent weeks, it is hard to see them not claiming another three points.

With six wins in their last seven outings, Llandudno look a good bet to complete a double over a Ruthin Town side they beat 2-0 away last month.

However, Ruthin did halt a barren run when defeating Mold 3-0 last Friday. so the Vale of Clwyd side cannot be counted out.

Denbigh Town returned to winning ways by beating Guilsfield at Central Park last weekend and can repeat the dose at home to Penrhyncoch, who nonetheless can be a tricky proposition.

Gresford Athletic will be anxious to wipe out the memory of a 7-0 home loss to Flint Mountain last weekend when they host Buckley Town. Form favours Bucks to duplicate their 3-0 home success over the Colliers back in August.

Bangor 1876 badly need a result at Guilsfield following last weekend’s 7-1 home drubbinag at the hands of Airbus. A draw looks the best call at Clos Mytton.

Leaders Airbus visit current champions Holywell Town aiming to cash in on the Wellmen’s surprise slip-up at Caersws last Saturday. Away win is the forecast.

Llay Welfare might just spring a mini-shock at Mold Alex, while new-look bottom side Prestatyn Town could end their bad run of results with a home verdict over Caersws.

SCORECASTS

Flint Mountain 1 Colwyn Bay 2
Llandudno 3 Ruthin Town 1

Denbigh Town 3 Penrhyncoch 1
Gresford Athletic 0 Buckley Town 3
Guilsfield 2 Bangor 1876 2
Holywell Town 2 Airbus UK 4
Mold Alexandra 1 Llay Welfare 1
Prestatyn Town 3 Caersws 1

ARDAL NORTH EAST

Bow Street can finish the weekend top of the table if they, as we expect them to, beat Llansantffraid at home.

With second-place Dolgellau Athletic away to fellow high-flyers Brickfield Rangers, where a draw looks the best bet, and current leaders Kerry far from certain to win at Rhos Aelwyd, Bow could well be at the summit come Saturday evening.

It could be a tough afternoon for a Builth Wells side still adapting to key departures when they host a Cefn Albion team capable of taking all three points.

After last weekend’s great win at Rhos Aelwyd, Chirk AAA can defniitely grab something at Llandrindod Wells. Llangollen v Penycae has draw written all over it, Llanuwchllyn can see off Llanidloes Town at home and Radnor Valley should get the better of Llanfair.

SCORECASTS

Bow Street 3 Llansantffraid 1
Brickfield Rangers 1 Dolgellau Athletic 1
Builth Wells 1 Cefn Albion 2
Llandrindod Wells 2 Chirk AAA 2
Llangollen Town 1 Penycae 1
Llanuwchllyn 4 Llanidloes Town 0
Radnor Valley 3 Llanfair United 0
Rhos Aelwyd 1 Kerry 1

ARDAL NORTH WEST

While Felinheli have it in them to upset the best on their day, leaders Rhyl 1879 should make it nine matches unbeaten when they visit Cae Seilo on Saturday.

After three straight losses, Porthmadog badly need a result to get their title bid back on track. It will be far from easy for them at St Asaph City, but Chris Jones’ side should edge the victory.

Llanrwst United’s cracking run of form can continue at home to Llangefni Town, while Llannefydd look a great prospect for three points at bottom side Menai Bridge Tigers.

NFA should just have what it takes to triumph at Nantlle Vale, while Trearddur Bay, whho have seen off both Rhyl 1879 and Porthmadog at home – the latter also away in midweek – in recent times, should have the measure of visitors Pwllheli.

Connah’s Quay Town can rediscover winning ways at home to a Conwy Boroigh outfit which has lost nine league matches on the spin.

Holyhead Hotspur versus Corwen has the makings of a very close affair.

SCORECASTS

Connah’s Quay Town 3 Conwy Borough 0
Holyhead Hotspur 0 Corwen 0
Llanrwst United 2 Llangefni Town 1
Menai Bridge Tigers 0 Llannefydd 3
Nantlle Vale 1 NFA FC 2
St Asaph City 1 Porthmadog 2
Trearddur Bay 2 Pwllheli 0
Y Felinheli 1 CPD Y Rhyl 1879 3
