JD CYMRU NORTH
A change to the usual Cymru North schedule this weekend with one match taking place on Saturday and the other seven on Sunday.
Saturday sees next-to-bottom Penrhyncoch host Guilsfield, who are coming off the back of a very impressive 4-0 midweek win over Porthmadog.
Penrhyn’s results have picked up, taking four points out of six against Llanidloes Town in their last two outings, but they will likely find Guils tougher opposition.
On Sunday, bottom hosts top as Holyhead Hotspur welcome unbeaten leaders Colwyn Bay to the New Stadium.
Hard to see anything other than a win for in-form Bay here.
Chirk AAA and Conwy Borough both aim to bounce back from defeats when they clash at Holyhead Road.
The Colliers were caned 6-1 at Cefn Druids on Wednesday, while Boro slumped 3-2 at home to Prestatyn Town.
The visitors might just have the edge in this one.
Gresford Athletic can see off Llanidloes Town at Clappers Lane, while Druids should maintain their fine run at Mold Alexandra.
Porthmadog are in need of a tonic and a home meeting with Buckley Town offers a chance, but the Trotters can take at least a draw from Y Traeth.
Match of the day will be fifth-place Prestatyn Town at home to Holywell Town, who lie second and have a 13th straight league win in their sights.
Johnny Haseldin’s men should come out on top, but it will be close.
Ruthin Town’s form is up and down but they will be heartened by their recent 1-0 success at Llandudno when they greet the Seasiders at the Memorial Playing Fields for the return.
Tudno are looking strong and scoring goals, however, and revenge can be theirs.

PREVIEWS
ARDAL NORTH EAST
Table-toppers Cefn Albion look a good bet to stretch their lead to seven points when they visit inconsistent Welshpool Town on Friday.
Builth Wells should be too strong at home for struggling Corwen, Caersws can edge the spoils over visitors Bow Street and Llanfair United are a decent shout to take a point minimum at Dolgellau Athletic.
Struggling Rhayader Town can get something at Llandrindod Wells, Llanrhaeadr YM are more than capable of building on their first win of the season last weekend by beating latest visitors Penycae and third-place Rhos Aelwyd can earn themselves a narrow triumph at Llanuwchllyn.
SCORECASTS
Welshpool Town | 1 | 3 | Cefn Albion |
Builth Wells | 3 | 0 | Corwen |
Caersws | 3 | 2 | Bow Street |
Dolgellau Athletic | 2 | 2 | Llanfair United |
Llandrindod Wells | 1 | 1 | Rhayader Town |
Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant | 2 | 0 | Penycae |
Llanuwchllyn | 1 | 2 | Rhos Aelwyd |
ARDAL NORTH WEST
Potential title contenders Bangor 1876 can expect a hard assignment at improving Llangefni Town on Friday night.
Michael Johnston’s side have what it takes to grab all three points and return to the summit, but Cefni cannot be under-estimated.
On the same evening, Llandudno Albion can progress from last week’s excellent point at Nantlle Vale by seeing off Y Felinheli at Y Morfa, Conwy.
On-fire Denbigh Town have to be fancied for a win at Brickfield Rangers on Saturday, Llanrwst United can end up victorious at lowly Rhostyllen and Saltney Town are favourites for the W at home to basement boys Hawarden Rangers.
Match of the day could be at Belle Vue, where CPD Y Rhyl may return to the summit – depending on results elsewhere – if they beat Nantlle Vale.
The Penygroes side are impressing on a regular basis this season, though, and Rhyl will need to be at their best to conquer them.
Sunday’s offering is a cracker as two sides in great nick lock horns when Llay Welfare entertain Flint Town. A draw looks the best pick here.
SCORECASTS
Llandudno Albion | 3 | 2 | Y Felinheli |
Llangefni Town | 2 | 4 | Bangor 1876 |
Brickfield Rangers | 1 | 3 | Denbigh Town |

CPD Y Rhyl 1879 | 2 | 1 | Nantlle Vale |
