Now consisting of four separate leagues across tiers four to six in the Welsh football pyramid, 48 teams will continue to look upwards as they target a future in the Ardal system.
Bridgend Street, Cwmaman, Aber Valley and Ton Pentre are among those expected to be battling it out at the top end of the Premier Division this season, having been unable to catch promoted duo Cardiff Corinthians and Canton Liberal last term.
Dinas Powys will have something to say about that, mind.
The Murch outfit endured a wretched campaign last time out, winning just four matches all season as they finished rock bottom of the Ardal South West league.
Mike Colley will occupy the hotseat at the Barry club for the campaign ahead as Dinas Powys look to secure an immediate return to the third tier.

Caerphilly Athletic and Treherbert BGC are the other new additions to the revamped 12-team Premier Division for the season ahead, following their respective top two finishes in Division One, now the Championship, last time out.
The latter are surging up the pyramid at rapid pace and have re-recruited Jamie Bebb in addition to bringing in Leroy Thomas and James Bailey for the season ahead.
Vale United quite simply need to lick their wounds and go again when it comes to their quest to reach the top league of the SWAL.
The Corntown Pavilion side won 10 of their final 11 league fixtures last season, but the sole defeat – to champions Caerphilly Athletic – in that sequence proved costly as Vale United finished a point adrift of the top two.
The relegated quartet of Ely Rangers, Garw, Merthyr Saints and Porth will provide Vale United with stern competition when it comes to the promotion race.

Saints have been heavily active in the transfer window, adding the likes of Adam Thomas, Cory Thompson, Jordan Thomas and Daniel Jones to their ranks.
However, Rangers were far more competitive in the Premier Division than the other trio to fall through the trap door and have signed Zach Cleary, Luke Garland, Jaedyn Brana, Ryan Chandrinos, Alex Long and Oliver Bradley to improve what is an already talented squad.
It all means it’s a tough looking task for the likes of Wattstown and Llantwit Fardre who gained promotion from Division Two and avoid playing in the maiden season of a regionalised sixth tier as a result.
But following stunning campaigns last term, the pair will be a match for many.
Tata Steel United narrowly missed out on the top two in Division Two last season but are likely to be in the running for promotion from One West this time around.

Ex-Afan Lido midfielder Rowan Gammond is among those to move to the Port Talbot club as they bid to challenge for honours, but the re-shaping of the entire SWAL system has seen several sides drop down from the fifth tier.
Canton Rangers, Grange Albion, Butetown, Maesteg Park and Cwm Welfare all slot into One West while Whitchurch and Penrhiwceiber will be operating in One East alongside a strong-looking Cwmbach Royal Stars side that finished fourth in Division Two last season.
Given the seismic changes and mass promotions and relegations as a result of the reshuffle, there could well be plenty of upsets and shock results across the South Wales Alliance League this season, particularly among the 24 teams battling it out in the now split bottom tier.
Expect the unexpected, and those with scores to settle have the opportunity to make their mark.
