PREVIEWS JD CYMRU NORTH

The top two sides enter battle on Saturday when leaders Airbus UK Broughton host second-place at the Hollingswirth Group Stadium.

While Airbus are a point ahead of the Silkmen, Lee Fowler’s men have played three games less, so the Wingmakers really cannot afford to lose this weekend’s crunch clash.

Unbeaten all season in 17 league matches, Flint defeated the Broughton side 1-0 back in October and another close encounter is expected in the return.

This one has all the makings of a draw, which would ensure Airbus stay top, but the black and whites remain undefeated.

Holywell will be out to complete a double over Bangor 1876 when the Wellmen host the fan-owned club at the Achieve More Stadium.

Johnny Haseldin’s side triumphed 4-1 at Nantporth in October, but 1876 did win 3-2 at Halkyn Road in the Nathaniel MG Cup back in August.

Should be a close one, but Holywell are beginning to motor now and are favourite to shade it.

It has been all change at Prestatyn Town this week with new manager Matty Roberts bringing in numerous new faces.

Will the fresh recruits need time to settle and is this likely to affect the Seasiders when they visit Buckley Town?

Caersws should have the edge when they visit Chirk, while Llandudno can get back to winning ways at home to Gresford.

Denbigh Town should have too much firepower for next-to-bottom Llanidloes, while Mold’s run of four wins on the bounce can continue at Porthmadog.

SCORECASTS

Airbus UK Broughton 1 Flint Town United 1

Buckley Town 2 Prestatyn Town 3

Chirk AAA 1 Caersws 3

Guilsfield 3 Ruthin Town 1

Holywell Town 2 Bangor 1876 1

Llandudno 2 Gresford Athletic 0

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST

A quick double is on the cards when Cefn Albion, who won 4-0 at Llansantffraid last weekend, host the Saints at Clwyedog Park.

Following a superb 3-1 home win over Radnor Valley last Saturday, Dolgellau AA can repeat the dose when they welcome Rhos Aelwyd to Cae Marian.

After back-to-back defeats, Radnor Valley face a tricky trip to Llandrindod Wells, but can scoop at least a point, while Llangollen Town have to be favourites for a victory at home to Welshpool Town.

Penycae’s general vast improvement in recent weeks will stand them in good when they entertain Llanfair United.

SCORECASTS

Cefn Albion 3 Llansantffraid Village 0

Dolgellau AA 3 Rhos Aelwyd 1

Llandrindod Wells 1 Radnor Valley 2

Llangollen Town 3 Welshpool Town 1

Penycae 2 Llanfair United 0

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST

Nantlle Vale can cut the gap to leaders CPD Y Rhyl 1879 to two points with a game in hand if they beat Llangefni Town at Maes Dulyn on Saturday.

Vale are perfectly capable of doing this as they aim to make it six wins on the bounce, but fourth-place Cefni are tricky, determined customers and could pick up a draw,

Third-place St Asaph City can also nudge to within two points of Rhyl with a victory at Bethesda Athletic, who are coming off just their second win of the season last weekend.

Have to favour Saints in this one.

Flint Mountain should have enough in the tank to see off hosts Y Felinheli, while Hawarden Rangers can keep their better form rolling on by beating a Pwllheli side celebrating back-to-back successes over Holyhead Hotspur and Rhyl.

Llanrwst United earned their first win under new manager Mark Sampson last Saturday, but the Conwy Valley side have lost a lot of good players and might have to settle for a draw at home to Brickfield Rangers.

Llay Welfare can edge the honours at Saltney Town. Leaders Rhyl 1879 are in FAW Trophy action this weekend.

SCORECASTS

Bethesda Athletic 1 St Asaph City 3

CPD Y Felinheli 1 Flint Mountain 4

Hawarden Rangers 3 CPD Pwllheli 2

Llanrwst United 2 Brickfield Rangers 2

Nantlle Vale 2 Llangefni Town 2

Saltney Town 1 Llay Welfare 2
