PREDICTIONS

Revenge may be on the agenda at one or two grounds in the Cymru North this week as teams meet in the second instalments of quick back-to-back reverse fixtures.

Guilsfield edged a 2-1 verdict at Porthmadog on November 26, but in Tuesday night’s return Port are a good bet for at least a point.

Leaders Colwyn Bay faced a tough battle before prevailing 2-0 at Gresford Athletic on November 26.

Steve Evans’ unbeaten table-toppers must be strong favourites to complete the double over the Colliers at the Four Crosses Construction Arena on Wednesday.

Second-place Holywell Town will aim for a 12th straight league win when they welcome Ruthin Town to the Achieve More Training Stadium.

Holywell whipped Ruthin 4-1 away in their most recent meeting.

Johnny Haseldin’s men will want to keep the pressure on leaders Colwyn Bay and must be fancied for a home win over a Ruthin side which can nonetheless often upset the odds.

Llandudno’s game at Holyhead Hotspur last week was postponed, so Wednesday brings the first tussle this season between the teams.

Nantporth Stadium, Bangor, will be the venue and the form book is with Tudno.

Cefn Druids were held 0-0 at Chirk AAA on November 26 and another draw looks like a decent shout for Wednesday’s rematch at The Rock.

Prestatyn Town thrashed Conwy Borough 5-2 at Bastion Gardens last week and Chris Jones’ Seasiders can take three points again at Y Morfa.

Mold Alexandra disrupted the form guide somewhat when they beat Buckley Town 2-0 at Alyn Park on November 26. Buckley can take revenge at The Globe on Wednesday.

Llanidloes are also a decent bet to avenge their recent 2-0 loss at Penrhyncoch when they greet the Roosters at Victoria Park on Wednesday.
