We kick off the weekend on Friday with two games where picking a winner looks tricky work.
Tier 2 newcomers Flint Mountain and Denbigh Town have both experienced mixed starts to the campaign.
Mountain’s home form is good, with three league wins out of four, and this could be decisive as they host a Denbigh outfit who have lost all three away Cymru North clashes so far.
Long-time rivals Ruthin Town and Gresford Athletic are both in the bottom half of the table and each also presents a varied batch of results to date.
Ruthin have won one and lost one at the Memorial Playing Fields in the league, but will have been boosted by last weekend’s 3-0 home success against Guilsfield in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup.
Gresford have suffered defeat in three of their four away league tests, but were victorious on their last visit to Ruthin in the NEWFA Challenge Cup in April.
On to Saturday, and leaders Airbus UK Broughton will aim to register a seventh league win on the bounce when they travel to Buckley Town.
Every one of Buckley’s eight games across all competitions this season have been at The Globe, where they have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 3, including their last two.
The Stags will be anxious to get back in Asa Hamilton’s good books after incurring the wrath of their manager following a 2-1 Welsh Blood Service League Cup loss against struggling visitors Llay Welfare last weekend.
No such concerns for Airbus, who have won all nine games played this term including six in the league, which has given them a handy six-point lead at the summit.
Nonetheless, this will be a difficult hurdle for Mark Allen’s men.
Caersws will want to end a run of three straight defeats when they entertain Mold Alexcandra, who themselves have lost three of the last four outings.
Undefeated in their last six, fourth-place Colwyn Bay will be out to squash Penrhyncoch’s recent revival which has seen the Roosters notch three victories on the bounce. Bay look a decent bet for three points.
Mid-table Guilsfield welcome a Llandudno side they have already lost to this season on penalties in the Nathaniel MG Cup.
Guils’ results have been up and down, but at home they could edge the spoils over a Tudno team which has lost three in succession.
A grand occasion is expected at Holywell Town where a brand new stand will be unveiled before their clash with Bangor 1876.
The second-place Wellmen are on a roll of four consecutive wins after an uncharacteristically shaky start to the campaign, but can expect a hard battle against an 1876 line-up with an identical league record, but trailing Johnny Haseldin’s charges on goal difference.
There are goal machines on each side – Jamie Breese of Holywell and Bangor’s Corrig McGonigle – and they could be key men.
The bottom two meet at Bastion Gardens, where Prestatyn Town host Llay Welfare.
Both sides have made some signings this week who they hope will make them a more formidable force.
Llay will be buoyed by last Friday’s cup win at Buckley, having not won in their previous seven tussles, while Town have lost their last four matches.

LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST
Just a handful of fixtures spread across the Tier 3 Ardal Northern this Saturday due to most clubs competing in the FAW Amateur Trophy.
Builth Wells have made a steady start in Ardal North East and should possess too much firepower at home to a Rhos Aelwyd side which has lost six in a row and suffered some embarrassing cup defeats against lower league opposition.
Neither Llanfair United or Llandrindod Wells have pulled up any trees in league combat so far and a draw looks the best call when the pair lock horns at Mount Field.
Llanfair’s only league wins have come on their travels, while Llandrindod’s best result by far is a 1-0 home victory over second-place Bow Street. Otherwise, the form guide is grim.
Penycae raised a few eyebrows when they ended Llangollen Town’s unbeaten run recently and a repeat of that showing should see them comfortably beat next-bottom Llansantffraid Village.

CPD Y Felinheli can take encouragment from their Ardal North League Cup 3-1 home success over- in-form Connah’s Quay Town last weekend when they welcome Llangefni Town to Cae Seilo on Saturday.
Fourth-place Cefni have won twice on away territory in the league, though, and with some new signings on board could make it a tough afternoon for Felin.
Tier 3 new faces NFA have started the season well at home, with four wins out of four in all competitions.
That form should stand them in good stead when they take on St Asaph City, who have lost four of their last five games.
