PREVIEWS

JD CYMRU NORTH

There’s a cracking line-up of fixtures this weekend with one of the main attractions being Friday’s clash between Denbigh Town and Holywell Town.

While promoted Denbigh have lost two of their first three, both defeats were against top opposition in Flint Town United and Bangor 1876 by 2-1 scorelines.

Holywell have narrowly won both their matches at the Achieve More Stadium but could find the going tough at Central Park against Dewi Llion’s Denbigh.

Denbigh can just edge this one.

Prestatyn Town will host Caersws, who sit third in the table with two wins in three, but both triumphs came against lower placed clubs.

Town put up a fine effort in a 2-1 loss at Flint last weekend and at home might just have what it takes to clip the Bluebirds’ wings.

Ruthin Town are home to Flint Town United, who have won two from two to date.

The form book leans towards the Silkmen, but this might be the night where Ruthin get that little bit of luck which has been missing for them so far.

On to Saturday, when joint-leaders Airbus put their 100 percent record to the test at bottom side Llanidloes Town. A comfortable victory on the cards for the Wingmakers.

Current leaders on goal difference, Bangor 1876, aim to make it four wins on the trot when they travel to Mold Alexandra.

Potentially a tricky one for Michael Johnston’s side, but they are in good form and have confidence on their side.

Porthmadog have plenty of goalscorers in their ranks and one would expect them to see off Guilsfield at Y Traeth. Guils have yet to pick up a point in two games.

SCORECASTS

Denbigh Town 2 Holywell Town 1

Prestatyn Town 3 Caersws 0

Ruthin Town 2 Flint Town United 1

Llanidloes Town 1 Airbus UK Broughton 3

Mold Alexandra 1 Bangor 1876 2

Porthmadog 3 Guilsfield 1

ARDAL NORTHERN

Just three matches on the roster this Saturday, with a number of Ardal Northern teams involved in Welsh Cup action.

In Ardal North East, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant can continue their promising start with a win over next-to-bottom Dolgellau.

Ardal North West combat includes an attractive looking contest between Bethesda Athletic and Llangefni Town at Parc Meurig.

Cefni will go top if they win and after excellent draws at Flint Mountain and Holyhead Hotspur they can go one better against Pesda, who have lost three out of four to date.

Promoted Llannefydd have yet to win in four attempts. Can they break their duck at home to Saltney Town?

The Bordermen have been solid rather than spectacular so far, and will want to avoid a third loss in a row.

SCORECASTS

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant 3 Dolgellau AA 1

Bethesda Athletic 1 Llangefni Town 3

CPD Llannefydd 2 Saltney Town 2
